My Meaning
Paint... Poetry... and the Pen...
My Story
I SPENT MY ENTIRE CAREER as A CONTRACT designer, AN ART DIRECTOR, aND A senior designer for disney. HOWEVER, I always desired to PURSUE MY OWN CREATIVITY as well, and FIND my unique voice and style. SO, prior to embarking on this new journey, I prayed a lot and eventually felt god directing me to pick up a paintbrush and tell his story.
Father...Son...and theHolySpirit...
Since I'M half korean, I was intrigued to learn that the THREE Perfections originATED in China and later spread to japan and Korea.
Its meaning is that painting, poetry, and calligraphy woven together creates the ultimate artistic achievement. FOR MY PURPOSES, I modified it slightly and replaced calligraphy with the pen. I also reinterpreted the meaning to represent the trinity. THERE IS NO GREATER PERFECTION than the Father, (the greatest artist in the universe) HIS son Jesus, (pure poetry) and the holy spirit (our guide who helps us write our story).
My Purpose
SOLI DEO GLORIA
GLORY TO GOD ALONE
to remind everyone who sees my work about the presence and comfort of god and the truth of jesus.
to bring hope, healing, and strength to the broken and the broken-hearted.
to not bury my talents but use them to serve god. (Matthew 25:14-30)
